Looking ahead to the future during a special cycling evening
During a sold-out theater program at De Mythe in Goes on Thursday evening, the audience looked ahead to the ZLM Tour of 2026. Although this year's edition had to be canceled, the cycling year 2026 was kicked off in style with the announcement of the first stages. As in previous years, the organization of the ZLM Tour is in the hands of Libéma Profcycling.

ZLM Tour 2026 starts traditionally in Zeeland
As in previous years, Zeeland will once again be the setting for the opening days of the ZLM Tour. On Wednesday, an individual time trial is scheduled in and around Kapelle, via Wemeldinge. Thursday will see a stage through Central Zeeland, starting in Westkapelle and finishing in Heinkenszand. This stage will take the riders over the Oosterschelde storm surge barrier and the Zeeland Bridge, among other things.

The other stages of the ZLM Tour 2026 will be announced at a later date. However, it is certain that Schijndel-Schijndel will be on the program.

Looking forward
2025 will be a challenging year for cycling organizers, including the ZLM Tour. “But thanks to loyal partners, from sponsors to municipalities and provinces, we can already start looking forward to 2026,” says Eelco Franckaert, manager of the ZLM Tour. “The anticipation has begun. And it will end next year with a multi-day race just the way we like it: with sprints, competition, and fans lining the roads.”

ZLM Theater Tour as an alternative to canceled edition
The theater program, organized by ZLM Insurance as an alternative to the canceled 2025 edition, brought cycling to life in a special way. Led by cycling presenter Maarten Vangramberen, numerous cycling themes and guests were discussed, including special guest Marcel Kittel, former top sprinter and multiple stage winner in the ZLM Tour. The musical accompaniment was provided by Leo Alkemade and his band De Kopgroep.
