West Brabant stage for third stage of the ZLM Tour 2026: Roosendaal and Bergen op Zoom

Libéma Profcycling, organizer of the multi-day cycling race, today announced that the third stage of the 2026 ZLM Tour will start in Roosendaal and finish in Bergen op Zoom. From the WielerExperience in Roosendaal, the peloton will ride through West Brabant, passing locations such as the Oesterdam and the Brabantse Wal, before the stage is decided on local circuits in and around Bergen op Zoom.

Roosendaal as the start of a day of cycling

With the WielerExperience, Roosendaal offers a unique location where cycling, experience, and education come together. This makes it a fitting setting for the start of a ZLM Tour stage. From Roosendaal, the riders head into West Brabant, where the course quickly becomes open and selective.

Alderman Robin Heij of the municipality of Roosendaal is proud that the city is once again part of the ZLM Tour: “I am extremely proud that, after a year’s absence, we are once again the starting location for the ZLM Tour. Cycling is in our DNA, both personally for me and for our municipality and the entire region. It is even more special that we are doing this together with our neighbors in Bergen op Zoom. We kick off at the WielerExperience, where the new Center was recently completed. A top location for a top event. With the Roosendaal cycling summer ahead, this is a wonderful start to the season. I am already looking forward to seeing the peloton depart from here.”

A strong course through West Brabant

The stage features an attractive and varied route. Riders will cross the Oesterdam twice, a location that has often provided spectacular racing in the past due to frequent winds. The peloton will then ride over the Brabantse Wal, after which the finale takes place on local circuits in and around Bergen op Zoom.

Alderman for Sports Berend Doedens of the municipality of Bergen op Zoom is pleased that his city is part of the stage:
“It is a fantastic result that Roosendaal and Bergen op Zoom are jointly hosting the start and finish of the third stage of the ZLM Tour. As municipalities in the southwest of Brabant, we are increasingly working together, and this stage is a great opportunity to highlight that cooperation. I am convinced this will be a wonderful and sporting celebration.”

Eelco Franckaert, General Manager of the ZLM Tour, is also pleased that this stage completes the race:
“It is great that with these two cities we have finalized the stage schedule and added a beautiful stage in West Brabant. In previous years, a stage over the Oesterdam has produced exciting racing, especially when the wind picks up there.”

New position on the cycling calendar

Next year, the race will for the first time be organized directly after the summer. The ZLM Tour is known as a high-quality race featuring top teams and top riders. By scheduling the race in September, it better aligns with the programs of riders and teams and creates space in the cycling calendar for an attractive race week. This increases the likelihood of a strong field of participants and exciting sporting performances, especially in the lead-up to the European and World Championships taking place during that period.

Full stage schedule confirmed

The ZLM Tour 2026 will take place from September 2 to 6. With the time trial in Kapelle and the stages Westkapelle – Heinkenszand, Roosendaal – Bergen op Zoom, Schijndel – Schijndel, and Waalwijk – Waalwijk, the full stage schedule is now complete. It promises to be another spectacular edition for riders, fans, partners, and municipalities, and above all a new chapter in cycling history.
